United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties announced the addition of Dan Caldwell as the Vice President of Collective Impact and Strategic Initiatives. In his new role, Dan will lead program and services-related work, including our Bold Goals 2030 efforts.
Most recently, Dan served as the Senior Manager for Learning Pathways at Nissan, where he led learning pathway efforts in manufacturing,maintenance, and leadership. He previously served as the Senior Manager for Business Transformation at Nissan. In this role, Dan led the V-up (similar to Six Sigma) Program Management Office for the Americas region and led the implementation team for Nissan’s business planning process in North America.
Dan is a graduate of both Leadership Tennessee and the Complete Tennessee Leadership Institute. He has served on the northern Middle TennesseeLocal Workforce Development board and as a board member for the Foundation for the College System of Tennessee. He has also been activelyinvolved with the Rutherford Chamber “Rutherford Works” Executive Council and has served as the employee lead for the Rutherford Reconnect Strategy Team. Dan is also active with the Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary.
Dan received the STEM Innovator Award for the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network, the Junior Achievement Champion Award through Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee, and has achieved “Competent Communicator” and “Competent Leader” certifications through Toastmasters International. He completed his undergraduate degree in Industrial Technology from Tennessee Technological University.
